Unusual pattern for August

Temperatures are relatively cool in August for Alabama as a stationary front is draped east to west across the deep south. Impulses will move along this front dropping copious amounts of rain, especially in South Central Mississippi. Even parts of Alabama are likely to receive in excess of an inch.

A quick check of noon temperature in Alabama:

Albertville 70
Gadsden 72
Vinemont 72
Muscle Shoals 72
Huntsville 74
Decatur 74
Auburn 75
Tuscaloosa 75
Alabaster 75
Troy 75
Birmingham 76
Anniston 76
Montgomery 79
Mobile 86
Gulf Shores 86

Those are some amazing readings for mid August.
