Since it is so rare in Alabama, I am posting one more video of the snowfall that occurred on March 1, 2009. This is video of the snow that fell atop Monte Sano that morning. The previous video was a time lapse. This one is what we saw in real time. There is a very good chance that this was the last accumulating snow that we will see in Alabama for a long time.
Many areas of the state reached 80 degrees yesterday, one week later.The weather will be unsettled this week with several chances of rain. By the end of the week temperatures will turn cooler.
