A wet and stormy afternoon is beginning across North Alabama. Watches have been issued to the west. A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for northern Mississippi and western Tennessee. Storms are lining up. A watch may soon be issued for westeren Alabama. I will be watching things closely on radar. There is a chance I will get out and do some storm spotting, but it is unlikely I will drive far from home.

A tornado warning is in effect for Washington County in southwestern Alabama.
