Madison County Storms
A little bit of what you saw tonight if you were outdoors in Madison County, Alabama...
During the evening of May 15, 2009 I took a walk and snapped a few pictures of the sky in Northeast Huntsville. Severe thunderstorm warnings were being issued repeatedly for Madison County for slow-moving storms that formed over various parts of the county.
By the time I got home, lightning and thunder were beginning in my area. I grabbed my video camera and headed for Chapman School where there is a really good view looking toward the east at Monte Sano where the most intense storm was located at that time. I had a few technical glitches with my camera and missed part of the downdraft and a rainbow, but got it working in time to capture some of that and some lightning.
