...PRELIMINARY STORM SURVEY INFORMATION FROM MARSHALL COUNTY...

A PRELIMINARY STORM SURVEY OF THE DAMAGE INCURRED ACROSS MARSHALL
COUNTY HAS BEEN COMPLETED BY NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AND MARSHALL
COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PERSONNEL. INITIAL FINDINGS ARE AS
FOLLOWS:

* EVENT TYPE: TORNADO
* EVENT DATE: 06/28/09

* ESTIMATED PEAK WIND: 70.0 MPH
* PRELIMINARY RATING: EF-0

* PATH LENGTH: 2 MILES
* MAXIMUM PATH WIDTH: 50 YARDS

* SUMMARY: A BRIEF TORNADO TOUCHDOWN OCCURRED 4 MILES SOUTHWEST OF
ALBERTVILLE...JUST SOUTHWEST OF THE ALBERVILLE AIRPORT. DAMAGE
WAS SPORADIC AND GENERALLY LIGHT...WITH A FEW TREES UPROOTED AND
WEAKER SOFTWOOD TREES SNAPPED. LIGHT DAMAGE WAS ALSO NOTED TO A BARN
ROOF ALONG WHITE OAK ROAD...AS WELL AS SOME DAMAGE TO MATURE
CORN CROPS.
