THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN HUNTSVILLE HAS ISSUED A FREEZE
WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM TO 7 AM CDT TUESDAY. A
FREEZE WARNING HAS ALSO BEEN ISSUED FROM 2 AM TO 7 AM CDT
WEDNESDAY.

A VERY COLD AIRMASS WILL IMPACT THE TENNESSEE VALLEY WITH FREEZING
TEMPERATURES EXPECTED TONIGHT AND TUESDAY NIGHT. TEMPERATURES IN THE
UPPER 20S TO AROUND 30 DEGREES WILL DEVELOP AFTER MIDNIGHT
TONIGHT...AND LINGER THROUGH THE EARLY MORNING HOURS. A HARD FREEZE
WITH TEMPERATURES BELOW 28 DEGREES IS POSSIBLE IN RURAL VALLEYS AND
THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS.

ON TUESDAY NIGHT...TEMPERATURES WILL AGAIN FALL BELOW FREEZING AFTER
MIDNIGHT. THE COLDEST TEMPERATURES...IN THE UPPER 20S...WILL OCCUR
IN SHELTERED VALLEY LOCATIONS...WITH HIGHER ELEVATIONS REMAINING
AROUND 30 DEGREES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FREEZE WARNING MEANS SUB-FREEZING TEMPERATURES ARE IMMINENT OR
HIGHLY LIKELY. THESE CONDITIONS WILL KILL CROPS AND OTHER
SENSITIVE VEGETATION.
