NWS Huntsville Storm Survey Results

The National Weather Service in Huntsville has confirmed two EF2 tornadoes in Jackson County in Northeast Alabama just after 1 a.m. CST on December 10, 2008.

EF2 - 5 N Scottsboro - Jackson Co, AL
Law enforcement reported a tornado that occurred at 01:02 AM CST. Three high voltage power line towers toppled. A house was damaged and the roof was blown off. Windows and doors were also blown in. Power lines were downed in the area. Several cedar and oak trees were snapped.


EF2 - Hollywood - Jackson Co, AL
Emergency manager reported a tornado that occurred at 01:04 AM CST. Six houses sustained minor to moderate damage from Pikeville to Hollywood. Several trees and power poles were downed. Parts of a barn blown onto road on CR 21. A house had a roof blown off on CR 34.
