Please give me your thoughts

I posted an article here about Sunday's tragedy at the Huntsville air show. I am very interested in your thoughts, so please comment. Thank you.

Hey Mike
I was sitting about fifty yards to the right of where the tents were turned over. You could clearly see the thunderstorm coming visually and on radar on my phone. I feel if they would have postponed the show when the "dark clouds" started building, the people that were sitting in the fields could have at least tried to get around the static aircraft or back to their cars. I don't believe it would have helped the situation with the tents because more people would have tried to gather in them. I don't feel that this weather occurance was taken seriously enough on the part of airshow promoters or the airport. They had 50,000 lives in their hands and needed to act at the first signs of a what if.

I wasn't there, but that makes sense. The airport knew about the storm for 30 minutes. Why not tell everyone there will be at least an hour delay at that point to give everyone time to head to their car? Thanks.

I've got to say Mike that moving 50K people wasn't possible. While we do run the risk of someone getting hurt, the chances are so very small. It was a very tough call.

Mike, The more I think about it, it was just one of those tragic accidents that happens in an imperfect world. God bless that boys parents. I just cannot imagine what they are going through.
