God's fireworks

6:08 p.m., looking towards a storm east of Monte Sano

Joe took this at 6:34 p.m.

Lightning shots were taken around 9 p.m.

I took these images Saturday night from the foot of Monte Sano, looking to the east. My boys and I were playing baseball at the foot of Monte Sano between 5 and 7. We watched the cumulonimbus develop then. The storm has been drifting east slowly and back building for several hours. The net effect is that it has been stationary producing an amazing light show just east of Monte Sano. My son Joe pointed out that God’s fireworks are more amazing than man’s.

Gurley must be getting pounded. They must have had several inches of rain. I will check the CoCoRaHs observers or Coop Observer over there. Gibson Ridge shows over 8 inches in Gurley!
