Storm Surveys are in from Chicago

Six separate tornadoes were confirmed in Northeast Illinois by the National weather Service Forecast Office in Chicago, Illinois. You can view the surveys by clicking on the link. I like the format they used to describe and map the tornadoes. Four of the tornadoes were rated EF2, one was rated EF1, and one was rated EF0.

I found another video on Youtube that is certainly worth a look. This is the description:
"Incredible video of the massive, damaging tornadoes that swept through Northern Illinois on June 7, 2008, shot by storm chaser Andrew Pritchard. This tornado was headed straight for South Chicago as it was exceeding 1/2 mile in width."

Wow, what a monster in a heavily suburban area. Very lucky that didn't make it all the way to the city.

You are so right. It didn't miss the heart of the city by that much.
