THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A
TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF

SOUTHERN AND CENTRAL ALABAMA
WESTERN FLORIDA PANHANDLE
SOUTHEAST MISSISSIPPI
COASTAL WATERS

EFFECTIVE THIS SUNDAY MORNING AND AFTERNOON FROM 530 AM UNTIL 100
PM CST.

TORNADOES...HAIL TO 1 INCH IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS
TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.

THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 75 STATUTE
MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 30 MILES NORTH NORTHWEST OF
SELMA ALABAMA TO 65 MILES EAST SOUTHEAST OF BOOTHVILLE LOUISIANA.

REMEMBER...A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR

THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS

LINE INTO SOUTHEASTERN MS...SOUTHWESTERN AL AND THE WRN FL
PANHANDLE. INCREASING SLY LOW LEVEL WINDS COMBINED WITH STRONG FLOW
ALOFT WILL SUPPORT DEEP LAYER AND LOW LEVEL SHEAR FAVORABLE FOR
ROTATING UPDRAFTS AND AN ATTENDANT THREAT FOR ISOLATED TORNADOES AND
DAMAGING WIND.
