Hey Mike,

Thanks for putting all those videos and pictures in one place for me. We got no action up here Friday. Vortex went way north of Va. Definitely a day to remember when you chased that wall cloud. Awesome.

My pleasure! Yes, that was a memorable experience, especially for October. Y'all may have some more chase opportunities this fall. Thanks for the comment.

Great vids. It's interesting AND exasperating listening to the comments being made by the people in the videos, though. One of my favorites: "Oh, my house made it through Ivan, you'll be okay. Just crack the glass patio door." At least one of them understood the concept of feeders.

It's amazing the documentation we have of events like this in these times. 30-40 years ago, you'd be really lucky if a local news crew or an amatuer with a super 8 caught it. Now dozens (perhaps scores) record it from every angle. It's also notable listening to the ton of cellphone communication taking place with family and friends to ensure safety. Different days.

It's scary to see that in such populated areas. Great coverage, Mike. Isn't that the best way to decompress after a long work week?

Sharp…It is amazing how much this reflects the changes in technology and mass communication. Imagine what would be available on the internet if the 1974 Superoutbreak occurred in 2007. Another side note…I understand how events like that will make almost anyone say things they wouldn’t normally say, but….A couple of those people have really foul mouths on one or two of those clips.

Dewdrop….After a week like last week, almost anything would have helped me unwind on a Friday night! One of my workers had her baby early and went on maternity leave, so Friday was hectic! It does amaze me how many tornadoes have actually touched down in metro areas over the past several years…
